EXOTIC ANIMALS RESCUE:
Exotic animals arrive in Europe through two pathways:
– The first legally, is through the official commerce, which is regulated by the Law 150/92 “Endangered species act”
– The second one is the illegal commerce.
Animals arriving through legal commerce, in several cases, are not managed according to their species peculiar necessities. Consequently they are confiscated by in charge authorities, who act to offer them a better life.
Animals arriving through illegal commerce shall be confiscated by in charge authorities.
These animals can only rarely be reintroduced into their own environment, since they would not be able to survive and can suffer a painful death.
CRASE’s aim is to offer and guarantee to these animals an adequate quality of life, appropriate to their specie, in an environment as much as possible similar to their natural ones, and with the support of qualified professionals.
