Researches to be developed at CRASE
The CRASE Semproniano Association aims at developing researches with animals with the objective of increasing knowledge of species’ behaviour in nature and in captivity, of improving environmental and socio-psychological condition of hosted animals, and of promoting their reintroduction into nature. In this vein, researches to be developed at Centre will use non- invasive approaches respecting animals well-being. Core focuses of future researches of the CRASE Semproniano Association’s team are animal behaviour and human-animal relations. The study of diverse species individuals’ behaviour led to a better understanding of their adaptive, social and cognitive traits. From these researches, the CRASE Semproniano Association’s team is developing strategies to improve hosted animals environmental and social-psychological conditions and to promote the conditions for their reintroduction into nature. At the same time, studying multiple relations linking humans and animals, their pragmatic and symbolic values, offers the possibility to understand which are the conditions that produce their interspecific experiences. From this point the CRASE Semproniano Association promotes practices that are respectful of the wildlife and that let them live in their own natural environment. The presence of scholars with diverse academic and scientific backgrounds promotes an interdisciplinary approach, which develops innovative observations and reflections.
