It represents a great opportunity to promote information sharing in scientific context and to sensitise the public on the importance of animal and environmental conservation. The collection is organized by themes, to make a quick access to desired possible materials. Some topics specially developed are: human-animal relations, ethology, animal cognition, animal behaviour, cultural views of nature, animal conservation, environmental conservation, and specific sections dedicated to primates, big cats, canis, ungulates, birds, amphibians, reptiles, etc. The archive, which is continuatively updated with new acquisitions from private and institutional donations, lets specialized visitors access a great part of the available bibliography. Moreover, the library is an important tool for disseminating to new generations, because it makes available a great number of introductory books able to call the attention and the curiosity on the themes of animal life and of nature.
